EHDC forum on New Housing in the area
- cllr B Easton (4th Apr 2014 - 12:34:55)

There is a community forum organised by the district council coming up on Tuesday 15th of april at 6.30 im the Millenium Hall Liphook. The headline subject to be discussed us "New homes in your neighbourhood'" and a discussion on the joint core strategy. The forum is not just confined to Liphook though it will cover Whitehill and Bordon, liphook, headley Grayshott, Lindford and Greatham. It would be good to have a large contingent of people from Liphook, as the meeting is in our area this time.

This is a real opportunity to those who have concerns about the numbers of large housing developments for which planning applications have been approved (OSU site, Silent Garden, Lowsley Farm) and those at the pre planning stage (Chiltley Lane Chicken Farm, Bohunt Manor Frontage Land, Northcott Trust Longmoor Road Land and Lowsley Farm Phase Two).

The most important factor common to all these developments, and to some extent, other proposals affecting Headley, Lindford, Whitehill, Bordon and Greatham is the road infrastructure serving Liphook which is woefully inadequate for current purposes, let alone an additional 1,000 homes.

If you care about what is proposed for the future of the village you must make time to attend this meeting. You will hear first hand what the Joint Core Strategy is all about and how it affects you. You will have an opportunity to raise questions and have your say.

Councillor Paul Robinson
