Wheelie Bin Hazard
- Paul Robinson (1st Apr 2014 - 10:04:26)

There have been several complaints recently of wheelie bins impeding those using wheelchairs, prams and buggies on the pavements.

It would be appreciated if those with drives or gateways put their bins just inside their properties to allow clear passage for pedestrians using the pavements.

Yes, I know that not everyone has a drive or gateway but even placing the bin side on, tight to a wall or fence will help considerably.

What about when the bin men leave them just dump them?

Good point Dave, but from personal experience, its easier to shove an empty one away from the pavement than it is a full one.

We must be talking about Haslemere Road!

The pavement is narrow enough in places as it is, without having to negotiate the wheely bin obstacle course.

At least please try to put them out and bring them back in on the same day please.
