Carnival AGM and Other Carnival Bits!
- Karen F (22nd Jan 2009 - 14:16:54)
Dear All
Just to let you know that the Carnival AGM will take place on Wednesday 11th February at The Peak Centre (situated in Midhurst Road Car Park) meeting will start at 7.45pm.
During the evening we will be handing out the donation cheques and reviewing the years events. We are desparately looking for new committee members, especially as we are planning to have another Fun Day this summer, if ever your village needed you to roll up your sleeves and get involved, it is now!! We do have great fun and enjoy our monthly meetings in one of the local pubs!
Joking aside, we do need more help, I know we make it look effortless (!) but it does take a lot of time and hard work to put on the Carnival and it would be more enjoyable if we could spread the workload out a bit more!
Look forward to seeing lots of eager volunteers at the AGM! BUT if you can't wait, our first meeting of the year is on Wednesday 28th Jan at The Anchor starting at 8.15pm. Just look out for a table of smiley people with a dark haired bossy looking one doing all of the talking (that will be me!)

Just wanted to say a big thank you to the new volunteer who read my posting and came to our Carnival Commitee meeting last night.
The Carnival and Fun Day and all the other fund raising events we organise throughout the year are so important to the Community, and last night we had to decide how to split the £4000 we raised on Carnival night last year.
It is such a shame that we can't muster up a bit more enthusiasm from people to get involved. Thanks again to Bob, I hope you enjoyed your first meeting and will come back for the next one!!
