Vehicle break ins
- Dee (16th Jan 2009 - 15:07:05)
Hi
Had 2 work vehicles broken into on Wednesday night/Thursday morning. 1 had the window smashed nothing taken as no tools left on vehicle, the other had 3 locks taken out of the doors again nothing taken. Have informed the police then have 2 crime reference numbers, 1 vehicle Haslemere Road car park the other Manor Fields.
In this climate do we and other decent people need the hassle of trying to get vehicles repaired at no notice, customers being let down at no notice, prices of jobs going up to cover insurance premiums going up etc etc, just because some little oiks think they can break in and cause havoc just because they feel like it.
If you see anything that seems out of the ordinary take a note of the vehicle number if we all work together perhaps we can send out the message that Liphook is not prepared to roll over and let them do as they please. Did have a letter and a note to put in 1 vehicle that nothing is left in the vehicle to place in windscreen along with letter asking if any one saw anything.
My rant is now over.
Thanks
Dee

Dee I really do feel for you guys, I know the owner of one of the vans and was totally shocked when he told me earlier that his van was targetted again!
I live near by but am amazed that no-one in the immediate area haven't seen or heard anything!

As residents of Manorfields we too feel annoyed at the damage and heartache caused last week and again this week when our sons van was broken into and all tools taken both times damage was caused to the vehicle which is also annoying because of the cost of repairs and to replace everything. This is very upsetting for him and his team who are trying to earn an honest living. We are sorry to hear Dee that two of your vans have been broken into one of which is also in Manorfields and we understand was damaged the same night or early morning !!!

Phil
Interesting glass stuff.
Do you have to go to London to get it done or do they come to you?
Can you tell us how much it costs on average?
I imagine that it might also reduce your insurance?

(I don't work for these people, nor I am on commission ... !)
Pentagon Supaglass can be fitted at the Reading branch, as the nearest to Liphook. Or, that's where my cars have been done.
I recall mine was about £750 as it was a bit specialist, but on average it ranges from £450 - £650 for a standard saloon or hatchback (from memory).
Hope this helps.
Kind regards,
PMN
