beautiful sunny morning walk at Radford park or evening hike to Bramshott common
- mototaur (23rd Mar 2014 - 08:37:09)

The sun was shinning .
The birds are singing.
Radford Park was a pretty peaceful place to walk at 7am this morning.
Just myself and the two dogs.
Woodpeckers where knocking on trees.
A beautiful white egret (also known a white Heron) is roosting in the trees.
There are a few large pheasants calling to each other.
Squirrels running from tree to tree.
Sadly there are only 8 ducklings on the pond. There where 12 last week.
Many drakes swimming about.
No people about so dogs had a good run about in the wooded areas up as far as the caves, with out causing upset to anyone.

Yesterday the two dogs and myself went for a 2 hour hike over Bramshott common. We walked through Radford Park on south bound side of A3,Up to Hewshott lane and followed the foot path at Hewshotts.
This then brought us out near the caravan Park.
At the caravan park path there is a big fallen tree.
Here we walked left and crossed the field to the big gate at the entrance to the field your in.
The gate leads you to the south bound side of Bramshott common.
You can follow the paths for miles here.
Walk to the prince of Wales pub at hammer by following the right side path.
Cross under the underpass bridge to the north bound side of the common ,follow left side path. Watch dogs near the road here.
Walk or cycle to Waggoner's wells on north bound side of common.
Go to the wishing well and ponds at Waggoner's wells.
Make sure you have water, food and something to sit on.
Stop and have a rest on the old football pitch and eat you picnic ,on the north bound side.

The beauty of Bramshott is you can see some protected sand lizards and loads of butterflies, deer ,rabbits and birds. Take a camera catch some of the beauty in your own creative way.
Bramshott common is so large you can walk or cycle it and only glimpse other dog walkers and horse riders.

Happy walking and enjoy the sunshine.

That's what life is about! Too many people missing out on our fantastic countryside. It is good for the health and good for the soul. Sounds like one happy chappie!
