And in The Avenue and Tower Road!
If you are not prepared to clean up after your dog then you should not own one.

There are a number of lengthy existing threads on this.

However, I've come to the conclusion that some people are wired completely differently to the rest of us and aren't bothered by this or are too selfish to care. It's very frustrating but unless anybody enforces existing laws or implements new ones, nothing will ever change.

I am a dog owner and I will always pick up my dogs poo I could not walk away and leave it. I find it very irritating myself when I am having to dodge dog poo on pavements. I live near the nursing home and would you believe some selfish idiot walks through the car park and allow their dogs to poo on our grounds. So for all you selfish dog owners do us all a favour and please pick up after them. All us decent owners get tied together with the same brush and it just isn't fair.

And the recreation ground! My son attends nursery there at The WIllows and someone had let their dog do it's business right beside the step that all the toddlers have to climb up to enter the nursery in the morning.

In my opinion, the height of ignorance and selfishness.

CLEAR IT UP or don't own the animal in the first place.

I quite agree, it is disgusting and the height of laziness and bad manners not to clear up behind your dog in public spaces.

As a dog owner myself, I have trained my dog to go to the toilet by command. Therefore she goes to the toilet in the garden before we leave for a walk, which means she will only wee in public which is mostly to leave her scent. Should she soil I always clear up behind her.

The bags do not cost much to buy or you can use carrier bags, or even cheap nappy sacks. There are plenty of bins around to dispose the bags in if you feel you cannot take it home.

I know there are lots of responsible owners out there and it is only the few who are letting the side down, but the few seem to be increasing in number by the state of the pavements, fields and commons around Liphook.

Liphook is surrounded by lots of beautiful open countryside which is currently being abused by a few people who do not appreciate the cleanliness and beauty they have available to them. Please stop this careless attitude and help to keep our wonderful environment clean, tidy and as it should be.

I do not appreciate having to walk through dog faeces on the path when exercising my dog on the common or thru the woods. It takes 2 seconds to pick it up and take it home!

We wouldn't let our children soil the pavements and pathways, so why let our animals!!! Maybe I should dispose of my granddaughter's soiled nappies on their front gardens and see how they like it? Pretty disgusting thought, but then so is soiling our beautiful countryside with dog faeces and rubbish. Now don't get me started on the rubbish being dumped in the same places ...

quite honestly, I think you should all get a life!! at least it isnt put into a plastic bag an then thrown into the bushes to hang on the branches. it can disintegrate outside of the plastic...

G Stacey,
I'd like to walk either with my dog or not, without dog doo, whether it's picked up or strung up.
Not life altering but very unpleasant!
Hardly an unreasonable moan?

I'm afraid this is everywhere, the amount of times I have trodden in it,and yes it's disgusting,..people really need educating in this area, but then you will always get those, who don't give a dam.

Totally agree that dog owners should clear up after they've done their business in a public place, but Responsible Dog Owner, can you really order your dogs to poo on command???
I'm not sure whether to be impressed or a little concerned, how scared does a dog have to be to do that? I dread to think how the training goes! No really, I'm sure it's the right thing to do, now if you can just teach it to flush the loo as well, you'll make a fortune...
