An appeal to drivers and a warning to cyclists and pedestrians

As you are no doubt well aware, the weather over the past few months has taken its toll on the roads. The number and size of potholes is now causing a major problem on many routes.
Newtown Road, near the train station, is used by parents on the school run and by many commuters who think it is acceptable to use the road as a car park for hours or days on end.
As a result of the over use and heavy rain, the road surface is in a terrible state. Both the district and county council have been made aware but, as yet, nothing has been done.
Drivers are now trying to avoid the potholes by driving on the pavement.
So please, pedestrians and cyclists, be warned. And drivers...have some courtesy.
