Green Dragon Opening
- paul (19th Feb 2014 - 00:21:34)
Hi,
Any news on the pub opening?
A lot of work has taken place, and I'm sure it will be a success.
Good luck as the future Number One watering hole of Liphook

The green dragon is great BUT the drinks are prices way over the top big time what a shame looks like the club and anchor will be doing a good trade now

Newly open:
Yet another Liphook pub redecorated in dull colours, selling uninspiring on-tap choice.
Long gone are the cosy community atmosphere of benches and cushioned sitting corner. Seems we are now required to behave ourselves, stick to our chairs and tables, and eat 'cheffy' food...

Haven't been back myself yet but I hear the beer is good and prices are reasonable for the area. Neutral decor (pictures yet to be put up - so give it time), customers required to behave and 'cheffy' food - sounds fine to me!

Had a very nice lunch yesterday - very tasty, very good size portions! and nice friendly atmosphere. Good luck Deb & team.

Although I have not had a meal in the Green Dragon I have been in a couple of evenings and my impression is it is a lovely local's pub just what Liphook needed. Thank god not a gastro pub. Lovely atmosphere cheerful staff good beer and loads of places to sit and chat or stand or sit at the bar. Can't wait to try the food . It sounds good pub grub at the right price.

Went to the Green Dragon with others the other day. Looks O K interior wise to me. Had a long wait for food, not quite yet up to speed, but can be forgiven. Food is not fancy but good, enough choices good portions and looked and tasted as it should. Well cooked and presented. No complaints and there was 11 of us.Keep it up. Love the hanging gardens of Babalon look

We went on Saturday night, not impressed.
Really pricey and no atmosphere. Bizarrely, there was a crate trolley next to our table, not sure if it was decor or left by mistake.
A real shame.

Real disappointment!
Two out of three beers not on after six days.?!
Hope it improves, there's a middle market for this pub, but
Need to raise standards all round or it will be just a temporary
Covering over the old cracks!

Most of these negative comments are quite pathetic, some of you need to get a life. You sound like the sort of people that just have to say something, usually mundane. The sort of people that phone in to local radio stations just to bore the public.

Visiting the village after some time away and went to the Green Dragon where I enjoyed an excellent meal with excellent service. I will certainly go there again when I am in the village.
