Calling all live music fans.....

On Saturday 8th Feb there will be a great live band called ‘British Racing Green’playing at the Liphook Social Club in Headley Road, Liphook.
The band is made up of Jeff (singer/guitarist), Gavin (singer/guitarist), Rupert (drummer), and Russell (bass player). Russell lives in Liphook and has also played at local venues in another band, Riven.
British Racing Green (BRG) mainly play Blues/Classic Rock and are a great band both to listen to or dance to and it will definitely be a fun night.
The set includes something for everyone, with great music from the likes of Kings of Leon, Guns & Roses, Free, Paul Weller, the Police, The Eagles, The Who, ZZ Top and many more. Gavin’s solo in Sultans of Swing is fantastic and Rupe’s drum roll flourishes at the end of tracks are legendary.
They usually play at venues in the Gosport/Portsmouth area where they have a good reputation, but this is their first visit to this neck of the woods, so it would be good to get a big crowd to come along to make it worth the band’s while to travel up here.
The music starts at 9pm. Entry for non Social Club members is £1.00 and non members also have to sign in for fire safety reasons but the club are very welcoming to all.
We don't get many opportunities in Liphook to hear great live music, so don't miss it!

Is that the same Rupert who was in the Jet Black Heights?
JBH were a very original band who gained a great reputation in the Portsmouth area a few years ago. You can still hear them on MySpace, etc.
If so, I'm sure it's going to be quality music!

Yes it's the same Rupert from Jet Black Heights. He's a great drummer.
It will be a good night so hope you can come.
