People that come to you? - dawn (9th Jan 2014 - 12:27:34)
A little while ago I suffered a cardiac arrest and was hospitalised for just over a month. During this time I had a battery pack/defibrillator [ICD] sewn into my chest.
The DVLA do not like people with implanted ICD’s so I am not permitted a driving licence. Living in Passfield – which has no footpaths to speak of, no street lights to speak of and a road that should be a 40 zone but is generally off-the –chart dangerous does not make me feel safe with cycling or walking.
I am getting used to my new life, (and know that under the circumstances I am lucky to be alive) but I am starting to look like I have been through a hedge – backwards!
I would appreciate all and any recommendations for services which come to the house – such as mobile hairdressers and mobile beauticians – eyebrows etc.
Also, are there any other people locally that have ICD’s fitted? It would be nice to chat to people who have been through it.

Glad you're on the mend Dawn! Have you seen these people? https://www.facebook.com/themobilebeautyroom my friend uses them and has been pleased with what they've done.

I also meant to ask if anyone has a treadmill they are not using.

I know Dawn is a little wrinkled but I don't think she is ready to be ironed just yet.
