Evening / weekend walks
- Christine Brown (24th Nov 2008 - 13:57:53)

Hi - I'm not sure if there is something like this already set up but i couldn't find anything after a quick look.... would anyone be interested in setting up an informal walking group where we can all go for a bit of a stroll of an evening? Or even a group of adults we share lifts to Haslemere or other locations with excercise classes or to go swimming? Let me know your thoughts! :-)

Thanks
Christine

Yes I would be interested, any chance I could bring my dog/s? I know some good walks and also now underpass is open Ludshott common /waggoners wells is as good walking area.

I have no problem with dogs :-)

I'm not sure where to go from here... I guess set a starting day, place and time and say anyone who wants to join us see us there? I think it would be good to have the first little walk on a weekend by daylight then maybe organise a couple of weekday evenings from there?

If you are willing to give out your email address for this I will contact you. As it gets so dark early now though I think summer is the time for evening walks.

I'm a bit sceptical about putting my email address on a website - I don't have a problem with anyone wanting to use it to contact me about going for walks but it is all the people that scan the web for addresses to spam!

Perhaps we can just say that anyone interested in coming on walks meet this Saturday in the square at 11am (other meeting point and time suggestions welcome) and we can go for a walk from there and also swap numbers/emails for future walks. I can borrow my partner's florescent eurostar hi-vis vest so that i am easily spottable :-)
