As HSBC has now departed can anyone tell me whether it is possible tp pay in cash / cheques etc at a bank other than one's own, Lloyds for instance ? I know that this was possible at one time although sometimes a small charge would be made.

Not sure about Lloyds, but you can certainly use the post office in the Coop and they don't charge.

The Co-Op has taken over most of the functions of the HSBC branch. Deposits can be made and cash can be withdrawn at the counter with your debit card, Cheque deposits into your HSBC account will also be accepted. No charge for this service.
