Pre-Christmas word of warning….
- Dawn Hoskins (7th Nov 2008 - 14:01:00)
I was recently in TK Max [Waterlooville].
There are giant signs up saying ‘14 day love me or leave me policy’ stating that if you keep the receipt you can bring items back for refunds if you realise you don’t want them after all.
Nowhere in the store are there any signs stating any conditions to this ‘generous’ policy, but if you try to take back any products from the body or bath department, regardless of whether it is shrink wrapped etc you will not get your refund. This is because their computer system defines ALL bath stuff as ‘cosmetics’. Cosmetics are excluded from the refund policy.
It is possible that you could be induced into buying lots of gifts to wrap up, on the understanding that if you ‘over buy’ you can exchange them for something else – and unless the item is faulty they can refuse you this – even though they have promised it.
Bad customer service – but not against the law.
