Route 6 Tragic news
- Jenny (30th Nov 2013 - 08:13:43)

I popped into Route 6 yesterday to make my Christmas hair appointment, to find out that Karen who has owned Route 6 for many years, died last Saturday. Karen was diagnosed with Cancer only four weeks ago, a lovely, glamorous, fun loving Mum with a devoted husband and two great boys. Karen worked her socks off to make sure every client was happy, she provided companionship for some of her elderly clients and often worked late in order to make sure her client had their hair done in time for an important event. It is absolutely tragic that she will not be there when her boys marry, she will not see her grandchildren. A sad loss for Liphook, she will be sorely missed.

I heard last week that she was ill but this is shocking news. I've known Karen many years and we had our children at the same time. A lovely lady who will be missed by many, many people in Liphook, so heartbreaking for her family and I send my condolences to them.

Very sad I was so shocked on Friday when I found out. Find it hard walking past the Salon at the moment cannot think of her not being there. She was an amazing lady, funny and her work ethics were second to none always making sure there would be room in her appointment book for us. A wonderful, loving and friendly person who will be missed by everyone. My heart goes out to her family at this sad time.
