Dramatic derby victory fresh in the memory for on-form Liphook
- Henry Ascoli (28th Nov 2013 - 21:50:15)

HPFL Combination Division match preview
Saturday November 30 (2pm)
Clanfield Reserves v Liphook United Reserves

SUCCESSIVE derby victories on home soil has provided a big confidence boost for Liphook United Reserves, who have their sights set on further success at Clanfield, writes Henry Ascoli.
A dramatic last-gasp goal secured a narrow 2-1 triumph over arch rivals Liss Athletic Reserves last Saturday, hot on the heels of the 1-0 win over AFC Petersfield in the Aldershot Junior Cup seven days earlier.
While Liphook are looking to climb the table with positive results from games in hand, Clanfield will undoubtedly provide a tough test, having put nine past bottom of the table Michelmersh and Timsbury Reserves last weekend.
Liphook United Reserves manager Mark Morton hopes his side can maintain their momentum away from home: “We’ve played really well in recent weeks and won four on the bounce, so go into this game on a good run of form – but this will be a tough test on the road. We should have a strong squad available, so it would be great to pick up another three points and progress in the league.”
