Warning re Microsoft

International call today porporting to be from microsoft
informing me that my computer had a virus. Politely told the caller to stop telling me porkies and hung up. we are aware that this is going on and it was highlighted not long ago on TV
Microsoft do not RING YOU. so if you get a call like this tell them as politely as you can to take a hike.
i have informed microsoft of this call.

The same applies to ANYONE (Microsoft, BT etc etc) who calls to say you have a virus. The fact is that no-one can see if your computer has a virus or not so if you get a call just put the phone down.
