One possible way to try to reduce the impact of recent gas and electricity prices is to register with the Hampshire County Council Collective Switching Scheme.
This HCC run scheme puts together a Buying Group of residents. HCC then use the buying power of a large group of users in a reverse auction with the energy companies. The latest round of registrations in advance of a price auction is currently open. There are already over 20,000 households registered! You can register without any obligation to take up the tariffs offered.
Registration closes on 18th November 2013.
