Planning for the 2014 LiDBA Bike Ride is now underway. As in past years LiDBA are giving local businesses and organisations the opportunity to be one of the sponsors of the event, which takes place on Sunday 8th June 2014.

Sponsorship opportunities are available from the LiDBA Web site www.lidba.co.uk

We look forward to your help in making the 2014 Bike Ride a resounding success with a target to exceed the £55000 raised in 2013 for local charities.

Should you have any queries please contact us by email info@lidba.co.uk

Can I ask a question, I do the cycle ride each year and often visit the carnival if im not looking after my very mature parents.

Does the Lidba monies raised help run the liphook carnival? as the carnival is both a public events (which has been running 112 years) and also a charity event.

I do support both but would really like to see if the carnival could be supported. we all make soo much of an effort to the village and the local community are great at coming together.

Kind Regards & No Offence intended to anyone

Mike

Hi Mike,

Many thanks for your continuing support of LiDBA and of the Carnival. This is what is most needed for both organisations.

Like LiDBA, the Carnival raises funds for local charities. It is not a recipient of funds from organisations such as LiDBA. LiDBA and the Carnival committee help each other out at their main events, for instance LiDBA always enters a carnival float and helps with marshalling, but does not donate money. We believe that this type of contribution is of much greater value for the future of the Carnival whose centrepiece is the floats and procession.

Regards

Geoff Goulston
LiDBA Chairman

Thats wonderful, great to hear that they all work together.

Will be entering me and my bike to both do the ride last year, hopefully no flat tyre again,

Regards

M
