Liphook In Bloom Presentation Evening
- Karen Feeney (1st Oct 2008 - 10:20:19)

Just wanted to say how much I enjoyed the presentation evening last night. I, like many other people who live in Liphook, was totally unaware just how much planning and work was involved in keeping Liphook looking so 'blooming'. Last night we were able to watch several videos showing the team in action and a most enjoyable talk and slideshow by a teacher from Bohunt, did you know that Bohunt offers a horticultural course to its students? Fascinating stuff.

It was also lovely to hear that several new faces had joined the team and that some 'young blood' had been injected into the group. These new ladies had obviously been welcomed with open arms by the existing members of the team, and it was lovely to hear their stories. But what came across most last night, was that all the people in the Millennium Hall, whether on LIB or not, take great pride in the village and are keen to see it presented at its best.

It made me very proud to be an active member of the community and even more committed to making 2008 Carnival the best yet!!

Thanks again for a lovely evening.

Karen Feeney
Chairperson, Liphook Carnival Committee

Hi Karen

Glad you enjoyed it, even the slight technical hitch added a certain charm I thought!

As one of the new recruits on video I can certainly say Liphook in Bloom is a great organisation to be part of, and really fun to participate. If anyone is thinking of joining I recommend it to all ages, there is a great team spirit and sense of community. There is a general tidy up this Sunday so if you fancy seeing what it is about meet at the Parish Council office, Midhurst Road at 9.30am, kitkats will be provded!

Wel done to all entrants and winners, and let's keep Liphook bloomin!
