book club
- susie (13th Oct 2013 - 12:52:10)

Am new to the area and was wondering if there is a book club locally, or if anyone interested in starting one?

I would be, as long as not on Monday or Tuesday! I haven't got time to be the organiser though! But my email is ellywhitworth@hotmail.com

Hi Susie, I don't know of any locally, but I would definitely be interested in a new set up. My email is dcmjg@hotmail.com

I'd be interested in joining. It might also be worth asking the library, they may know of a book club, or be prepared to advertise if people want to join a new one.

Hello all here....there are quite a few book groups already running in Liphook. I know of at least 3.

I'm a member of one that has been running since 2004 and coincidentally it started from a thread on this website. If you want to have a look type 'book club' into the search box.

We still have around 10 regular members and we're lucky enough to have both ladies and gentlemen of varying ages and meet once a month. Unfortunately we don't really have space for additional members at the moment particularly as there are quite a few of you interested in joining a group. But I just wanted to wish you good luck. Our group has been, and continues to be, a really enjoyable monthly meeting...plenty of informal and not too intellectual book talk, a healthy dose of wine and a smattering of idle chit chat!

Have fun!
