Missing cat
- Ian Turner (11th Oct 2013 - 10:00:12)

Missing 1 year old male Bengal cat (called Sol) in Malthouse Meadow area.
He is microchipped and should be wearing a red collar with my contact details however, he may have lost. He has brown black tabby markings and a spotty belly. Please call or text me if you have any details on 07921358638 or please drop him into nearest vet's if you find him, thanks.

Hi again. I just wanted to bump this up the page as our little man is still missing. It's unusual for him to be gone for more than a few hours and we haven't seen him since Thursday lunchtime now. If you have seen a cat that looks like the picture above please let me know by responding to this post or calling/texting me at the number above. Can anyone in the Malthouse Meadows area who has a garage, shed or outbuilding which a cat could have gotten into in the last day please check he isn't trapped.

Thanks

We'll keep an eye out as we're on the same street. we've two Burmese of our own and I know how worried we'd be if one were missing. Hope he comes home tonight...

Thanks Sumi, but Sol is back with us now; he limped home at about 9. After a trip to the out of hours vet in Midhurst it turns out he was attacked by a dog, leaving him with puncture wounds and his pelvis displaced on both sides. The vet thinks he should recover in time but he needs to be on lockdown and on pain killers for at least 2 weeks.

I would also like to say thank you to the 2 people who rang me with sightings of Sol; it's heartening to know there are good people out there who care about these things.

Ian

Poor Sol, get well soon.

Quite a concern a dog was able to inflict those injuries without anyone witnessing it. Quite a sizeable dog too I should imagine.

if you need the loan of a large cage for his recovery period let me know . 07909597595

**with regard to the dog, it is very possible that an inquisitive cat went into a dog's garden, unlikely it happened in the street.

Very relieved to hear of his return and wish him a safe recovery.

If he didn't meet one in a private garden then I wonder if he encountered a dog in Radford Park - there have been incidents between dogs and cats there before. I've worried about my two cats wandering near there for that reason.

The dogs who are regularly seen walking on Malthouse Meadows are accompanied by their owners and the bigger ones are muzzled where appropriate.

Anyway, hope he feels better soon and so glad that you have him home again.
