Missing Brown & White Rabbit Malthouse,Meadows/Tennis Court corner - Sumi (8th Oct 2013 - 09:29:28) We've lost our rabbit, Ruby who is brown & white. Last seen yesterday evening. She is fairly tame, We think she might be seen by the Tennis Court area by the Rec grounds as our garden backs up to the tennis courts. If anyone sees her, please could you call urgently on 01428 723 995 or try 07885486668 and leave a message. Many thanks!!!

Lost in Malthouse Meadows. She's a much loved family pet so if anyone has news (whether good news or bad), we'd like to know. We'd like her home as soon as possible. Many thanks for looking.

We're are unbelievably relieved and delighted. She has had touching reunion with her fellow rabbit, Molly McQueen (a furry incarnation of Steve for the obvious reason) and is settled nicely in her enclosure. I will be giving a donation to Dreams Come True. the children's charity on Station Road dreamscometrue.uk.com in lieu of a reward. Incidentally, may I heartily recommend Limbo Rescue which is just a quick drive to Petsworth for anyone wishing to look after guinea pigs or rabbits. Rather paying a breeder or retailer, please consider giving a second chance to these rescue animals who need a loving home. Our guineas and rabbits came from Limbo Rescue and there are plenty more looking for a permanent home. www.limbo-rescue.co.uk PS - Patsy only knew that we'd lost Ruby through a friend who looked at the community website and told her of our post. Seriously I don't think it's too great a distance to rescue animals who, through no fault of their own, need a new home. I don't like the idea of putting money in breeders (however reputable and caring) or retailers pockets when poor little creatures are languishing in rescue centres looking for loving new owners... So if anyone you know is looking at keeping some furry creatures for company, please do look at rescue centres like Limbo Rescue (who recently rescued 62 guinea pigs in one go...) Sumi, Liz was making a joke about your mis-spelling of Petworth - making it PETS worth

How she crossed the rec grounds, and then crossed London Road to end up on the other side without mishap is beyond me. I hope that the missing animals listed on Talkback are found equally safe and well...
