Please help..... - Katy B (23rd Sep 2013 - 17:19:25) The Liphook Day Centre for the elderly held at the Peak Centre has been short listed for a Lloyds bank Community Grant. There is a chance to win a grant of £3K which would be fantastic for the centre to win. Lloyds bank are deciding on who will receive the grant by public vote and that's where we need your help. Please vote for the centre at: communityfund.lloydsbank.com/voting/... There are four groups in our area and the two with the highest votes will receive £3K with the two others receiving £300. As you can see the more votes we get the more chance of receiving the higher grant. You can also vote in branch so please ask all your friends and relatives to vote for us too. You can also vote by text so if you have free texts with your monthly call plan please spare one for the Peak Centre if you can: Just text VOTE KFLC to 61119 There is only one SMS vote per phone and texts charged at your mobile networ provider's standard rate. Re: Please help..... - Paul Robinson (24th Sep 2013 - 18:46:43) Incredible though it may seem not everyone is familiar with Liphook.co.uk, so why don't you do what I did and cut and paste the original appeal and e-mail it to your friends wherever they may be. Many of my contacts have confirmed that they have voted in favour of the Day Centre. Perhaps some of the shops in Liphook could cut and paste the appeal onto a small flyer and give them out to customers. Lets make this work. Paul Robinson

I have done this too but felt a bit cheeky asking all our supporters to do this! There are three other groups to vote for in the Peak Centre cluster but none are in Liphook so please vote for the Day Centre and help the Liphook old folk. Re: Please help..... - annehall (27th Sep 2013 - 14:51:13) As a Trustee of the Liphook Day Centre I would like to add on behalf of our members how much it is appreciated that Liphook Day Centre has been chosen by Lloyds Bank as one of four groups being selected for a Community Fund Award. The Centre is run for the elderly of Liphook and Bramshott Parish and money received goes towards supplying a warm and friendly place for them to spend Tuesday Wednesday and Thursdays in the company of others. A big Thank You to everyone who has voted already and of course as from today voting can also take place at Lloyds Bank Liphook by placing a token in the box marked Liphook Day Centre. So please keep voting - Thank you

To win the grant we need to collect the most votes. So please help this very worthy cause gain the most votes and a grant for £3000. Lloyds Community Fund have contacted us and said that on line voting and SMS voting so far has meant we have received 188 votes which makes us second so far out of the 4 nominated charities. If possible could you all please contact anyone who would be able to vote for us using the on line voting and SMS detailed on the earlier post to help swell our numbers as there is still 3 weeks to go.
