Could we have a 'local jobs' section on the front page? - Idea? (19th Sep 2013 - 10:36:14) Dear Editor, I know you have responded before to requests for additions to the excellent local website (such as train / road issues) you run. Would it be possible to have a local jobs section on the front page? Like the Talkback / News / Event so it is rolling, but it would also mean that local jobs could stay on display for a little longer in their own section (and hopefully help more local people) as at the moment, being include in talkback means they often get pushed off the page maybe before people interested have has chance to see them. Just a thought? I know there are a few advertised on here from time to time, such as the house-sitter (nanny) / carer / bar staff / etc. The problem with that idea is that jobs have to been 'closed' when filled, as such. The current system at least means that job vacancies are seen by everyone and hopefully get quickly filled. I'll try to add the hashtag #job to all vacancies - allowing a search for #job to find them
