#job OPPORTUNITY – CARER / PERSONAL ASSISTANT - Liphook family (13th Sep 2013 - 07:32:44) Are you seeking a rewarding, part-time flexible job? Are you interested in a role providing flexible support to a local family with a child with disabilities? If you have a genuine interest in working with disabled children / young people we could have the ideal opportunity for you. You will make a real difference and gain valuable experience and get immense job satisfaction. Role: Carer / Personal Assistant required to support the family on a part-time, flexible, basis – in the home and in the community. You will be female*, 18 years or older, who is enthusiastic, caring and reliable. (*Due to the personal care nature of the work, this role has a genuine occupational requirement to be open to women only.) You can expect to earn around £8 - £10 per hour. Driver required. Family; - Bubbly and fun teenage (13 years) girl with physical disabilities living with mum and dad - Requiring some daily medication - Uses a powered wheelchair independently (with supervision) or a manual wheelchair (requires carer to push) outside of the home - Other seating and equipment used within the home - Carer supported transfers are required between equipment / seating Hours: - To be agreed with family - Up to 8 hours per week (may increase if needed) - By prior arrangement, are likely to cover regular after-school period, possibly some mornings / evenings or full day (weekday / weekends) on occasions - Hours can be shared between one or more carers to cover hours needed Suitable applicants will be invited to interview and to meet the family.
