Watch Out: Lifestyle Landscapes - Freddie Dawkins (11th May 2004 - 20:34:02) Lifestyle Landscapes have been advertising locally for some months now. Be wary of employing them. My father-in-law, who is 78 and hard of hearing, paid for a garden fencing job in full, before the job was started. He had responded to Lifestyle Landscapes. After waiting for more than a month after paying in advance, he and I have been told - on more than a dozen occasions - that the contractors, Lifestyle Landscapes, would arrive on site. They have not. Yesterday, when I spoke to their office manager, I was told that one of the partners in the business had absconded some weeks ago, with more than £20,000 and that their financial adviser had advised the remaining partner and office manager some weeks ago to continue trading, accepting deposits for new work and ignoring old work which has been paid for but not completed or started, or where a deposit has already been paid, so that they can trade their way out of debt.
