Hamsters free to a good home
- nikki (4th Sep 2008 - 16:47:35)
We have 2 hamsters (boy and girl..separate cages). Unfortunately we need to find them a new home asap due to an unforeseen allergy. (as in i've spent the past month sneezing and wheezing)
They'll come with the cages, bedding, wood shavings, food etc.
Please contact nikkiy76@aol.com
(and yes the children are a bit upset but it is a bad allergy..we're going to stick to fish I think!)

Oh poor little sausages... I'm afraid my cats wouldn't be very supportive either!!!
Barbara, I should think the reason ciggies don't give you the same allergies as hamsters is that they're not 'furry'...but I'm wildly guessing ;)

Have you thought about contacting the infants / juniors?
Some schools have class pets that children can look after in the holidays. Worth a try?

So it seems that the poor hamster is at the end of the food chain for many.
When my daughter was little she had a pair of hamsters and, despite regular feeding and lots of t.l.c., one ended up eating the other!
Be warned.
