I think the adult education places do french GCSE and conversational french. I picked up a brochure last year but was too busy to follow it up. They were nearly all in the evening but one may have been on a saturday?

go to Surrey County Council - click on Adult learning link. Hampshire CC is a bit rubbish as you have to go to Portsmouth or Winchester.

Thanks everyone, I am after someone to give private lessons something that can be done at home, so either someone with great french or even better a french person after some extra cash.

Thanks all

Bohunt run adult evening classes in French. This year they have courses for beginners and improvers.

I realise this is not what you are looking for, however, this term they have a new teacher who I believe is French and may well be interested in taking on some home tuition. I'm sure the ladies in reception at Bohunt would pass your details on to her.

For anyone else interested in the Bohunt French course, it is run on Tuesday evenings, last about 1.5 hrs, is very reasonably priced, quite informal and good fun.

My husband is French and may well be interested in helping you learn. What is level and what do you want to achieve?

Hi Carol, I think we have a mutual friend, the Thompsons, they where going to introduce my wife to you at School. Anyway we are beginners and we are just looking to get the basics going as we are thinking of moving to France.

Thanks

Neil
