Liphook bonfire
- Tea lady (7th Sep 2013 - 12:57:59)

Have I totally missed carnival this year?? Because I could have sworn it always takes place in October, so why has a resident of liphook built a bonfire in Radford on a Saturday lunchtime and set it a light? Not only is this dangerous for fellow residents, especially children walking in the park on this sunny day but one would assume people would be using what is left of the summer weather to dry their washing. I think this is totally irresponsible and no thought for others!

Oh yes I saw that. Since when has the public been allowed to burn their rubbish in a public park? I might just take some of mine there and burn it!

Did you actually talk to the people at the fire as if you had you would have gained insight as to why it was build, what the safety measures were and what the situation was surrounding it. Such a pity that there are notes like this rather than people actually talking to the people concerned.

Hi Alison,
I agree with you totally, see my input on the thread about supermarket butcher training. Many will go bitching behind others' backs instead of direct communication. Pity.
