Good value eating

Just thought I would post saying how much I enjoyed the £10 for two courses at the Sun Inn at Rake. It seems to have changed hands in the last year and the special early bird menu is extremely good value. I had moules in a ginger and lemongrass and wine sauce and salmon and new potato salad for £10. You have to go between 6.00 and 7.30 but definitely a bargain I'd say. The service was great and friendly and all the food was really good quality. Would recommend it to anyone looking for good value eating locally.

Went to the Sun at Rake on Tuesday 4th August to try out the special but discovered that you needed a voucher to qualify for the 2 course for £10 offer, and that the offer ended on 31st July! I think the manager felt sorry for us so he gave us the deal anyway which was very good of him. The moules were great but the main courses were nothing special, and the service was very good. The actual menu prices are not too scary either.
