Waste Bins - Part 2
- Eneida Nelson (8th May 2004 - 07:32:46)

An unmarked green bin is still sitting outside my house No. 45 (see part 1 for full story).

I would be grateful if anyone of you with friends on the Headley Road towards the village could ask them if they know who's missing one.

I've no intention of delving into it for clues and would quite like it moved asap.!!

Eneida -

When I come past later with my trailer, I'll take it away if it's still unclaimed.

Competition open to all users here: Where would you like the contents dumped:

1. Penns Place?
2. Penns Place;
or
3. Penns Place?

Competition closes at midnight Saturday. And I'll keep bin safe until it's claimed by owner

Thanks Freddie

I would really appreciate it!!

Don't you think it would be a good idea for everybody to mark their house no. on the bins with black paint?

Paul,

It wasn't badgers or foxes...probably the same little beggar that caused my problem.

Hi, Eneida -

Bin collected and safely stowed down side of my house.

Thought: Why don't you put a Found poster on the phone pole outside your house? Can't have come from far away.

I'll let EHDC and Parish Office know I have the bin too.

Definitely a good idea to paint house number on - would have thought so especially as you are by side of The Grove and all the bins they must have at the top of the drive on collection day.

If anyone is reading this - and it's your green bin - give me a call on 07769 665 963 - and I'll drop it off to you.

Can't think who might have 'lost' a 'phone pole!

Freddie,

Don't know what to suggest regarding this bin...I find it unbelievable that the owners haven't contacted the council because if not, what are they doing with their rubbish!!

It could be that they have contacted the council and have a new bin and nobody has a record of it, that wouldn't surprise me in the least. Cann't you get the council to take it away?

Hi, Eneida -

Not a problem, as we have plenty of space for bins.

I did speak to EHDC and they alerted their team, expecting someone to call in. Also Parish office. But no-one appears to have noticed they've lost it. Can only think it's someone who's away on long holiday or moved.

Funny stories at chip shop though. The missing bin sign on front door has caused a few giggles.
