Road Closures in Liphook
- Jenny (2nd Aug 2013 - 18:50:36)
Why on are they diverting people to Passfield via the A3????
ALL the work is being carried out in the SQUARE so people can access the Headley Road via Tower Road, The Avenue and Tunbridge Lane.
Apparently they have to use classified highways for heavy vehicles, all other local vehicles can use local roads.
| | locals are expected to know the shortcuts. Other traffic passing through has to go the long way. |

According to the paperwork supplied with map and the phases of work, the Square closures are shown as being the next phase of work after Headley Road.
But on the colour key shown alongside it is shown as phase 3, with Haslemere Road being shown as phase 2. I wonder which is correct...
| | I believe the dates are correct, the phases are not being done in numerical sequence. |

Thanks for clarifying this, I was wondering which was correct. Anyone any ideas on how to get from Bramshott to the Haslemere road when the square is closed ,in the shortest possible distance

Diane, to get to the Haslemere Road from Bramshott, I would come out of Church Road, turn right, then over the bridge and left via Hewshott lane and travel via Hewshott Lane to Haslemere Road. Just an idea.

I'm presuming that pedestrian access will still be possible through the square while it is closed. I think the easiest option to get to the millennium hall from Headley road is to park and walk! I guess I will have to go down the Avenue to get to Bohunt and park there.
