TV electrical repairs - where?

Hi, my TV needs attention - the tv is working fine, but there is a crackling noise coming from the power socket - so it needs an electrical repair. Where is the best place to take it?

It sounds like a loose connection in the plug. If so, it could be fixed by anyone who can change a plug.
An electrician could do it but would be an expensive option.
In the meantime I recommend you switch off and disconnect the television as there is a danger of this causing a fire.

I have disconnected it. The crackling is coming from the tv end of the cable. I did think about changing to a different cable, but I suspect it's the power-in socket in the tv. Poor design because the power cord comes out sideways, and so if the tv is turned slightly, it pushes/pulls at the power input point!
