Charity collections
- James (27th Jul 2013 - 12:03:49)

Once again, I have taken the trouble to fill a charity sack with unwanted items and left it outside for collection and, once again, I have brought it in after several days.
Am I unusual in rarely having these sacks collected? It seems discourteous that charities should seek my generosity only to fail to bother following it up.
I receive several of these sacks every week but I'm not really inclined to use them any more.

I would take your unwanted items to the Liphook charity shop. They support some very good causes, and you know the goods will be used.
Some of the road side collections could be a little bit iffy, obviously not all though.

Most of us would like to take items to the local Charity shops, but if you don't drive and live a little way out (and are getting on a bit!!), it's not possible to carry a heavy bag to that end of the Village. I make sure that the Charity is bona fide and then always leave the bag at the top of the path near the road. I have found they tend to drive past like the wind - so it has to be immediately visible!
