Reconnecting to Tiscali Emails ?

Does anyone know how I go about reconnecting to my Tiscali Emails (was a customer before they were taken over by TalkTalk so not the same settings)?

Tried connecting today and got messages asking me to enter user name and password (normally logs in automatically) can't access the web based version either.

From what I can gather it is a fault that sometimes affects the old Tiscali customers but I can't seem to find out how to fix it. Seem to still have all the correct info in the right boxes, POP3, pop.tiscali.co.uk and smtp.tiscali.co.uk (even if I haven't a clue what it means!).

Accessing emails via Windows Live - any advice gratefully received.

Are you using Internet Explorer 10 Jay? I found a fairly recent reported problem related to this (A Microsoft Internet Explorer 10 upgrade is causing problems for some customers accessing Tiscali Webmail (for more information please visit talktalk help).)

You could try using an alternative web browser such as Chrome or Firefox to see if that works.

I'd avoid the added complexity of POP3 access (where you download your emails into a program such as Outlook onto your PC) until you've got the web access working as you only need your username and password.

Thanks Keith - I'm not using IE 10 and eventually managed to contact Talk Talk via on-line chat (much easier to type it than try and understand the accents!).

Eventually turned out it was a problem at their end which they have now managed to resolve.

Think I will stick to my Hotmail address for urgent emails and look at changing provider.
