Vicious dog at Chappell Common
- Jez (25th Jun 2013 - 22:50:30)

Watch out for an Irish Wolf Hound which attacked my dog twice this morning whilst running at 6am. Owner did nothing to stop the attack which was totally distressing for me and my dog. Owners beware!

Does anyone know who the owner is, as my son had a similar experience. Just very irresponsible of the owner to just stand by and presumably the dog was not on a lead

Jez are you able to give a description of the owner of the dog.

Shameful that he just stood by.

Where is Chappell Common please?

It is north of the B2070 (old A3) just before Rake. This 'streetmap' also has an arrow showing parking.

Quote - "On this heath you may well come across the Heath’s Shetland cattle. They are used to dogs, but don’t let your dogs “worry” them. Because of the cattle the heath is fenced and has gates for access, making it particularly safe for dog walking. It is very popular with other dog walkers and expect to come across other dogs."
