Cake pops
- karen (14th Jun 2013 - 18:41:11)
Can anyone give me any advice on making and decorating cake pops ? What is the best icing to use (how to make it) and how to stop them sliding down the sticks?
Thanks

Hi Karen,
Are you using a cake pop rubber pan? Make sure you grease and flour it before you pour in the cake mix. Fill the bottom cups fully. When cooked, leave the cake pops to cool completely before trying to take them out.
Best way to get them to stay on the stick, is to put a hole in the cake pop with the stick, put a little of chocolate coating inside the hole and also dip the stick in chocolate before fixing.
I'm no expert and just do this for 'fun' but seems to work ok most of the time!
