Liphook Trefoil Guild
- Barbara Crook (14th May 2008 - 14:48:48)

The Liphook Trefoil Guild is now up and running after a successful inaugural meeting in April.

The next meeting will be held on TUESDAY 20TH MAY at 8pm in the Guide HQ at the Millennium Centre, Liphook. when there will be an opportunity to have a go at pyrography (decorative wood burning).

Trefoil Guild membership is open to anyone over 18 who supports the aims of Guiding, but you do not have to have previously been involved. Members do not have any commitments to helping in the Units, it is more of an adult social club but with a Guiding flavour.

If you did not have the opportunity as a child to belong to Brownies and Guides yourself but think you would have enjoyed it, or if you are just curious to find out what Guiding is about and be part of the forthcoming 100 year anniversary celebrations, this is your chance.

If you were previously a Guide or Brownie, this is an opportunity to rekindle the camaraderie and fun you had in your youth. You will make new friends, learn new skills, and have the opportunity to develop your talents.

Meetings are once a month and will cover a wide range of activities. Visiting speakers are booked, outings planned and many other events organised. There will be a chance to have a go at the Liphook Scouts' climbing wall for those that are up for a challenge, (if not it will be fun to watch!).

There will be opportunities for members to meet the Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Rangers on occasions when the Trefoil Guild are invited to all District Guiding events as guests. There will also be regular opportunities to meet up with members of Trefoil Guilds from other areas at County and Uk-wide events.

If you are interested, either turn up at 8pm next Tuesday at the Guide Hall or ring Mrs Barbara Crook 01428 723821 for further details. You will be given a warm welcome.
