LIPHOOK VICTORIOUS - Nigel Marr (27th Apr 2008 - 18:35:46) I am sure that you would all like to join me in congratulating Gary Elcombe and his superb Under 15 football team who have today won the North East Hampshire Youth League Cup Final. They won a very closely contested match against Crookham Rovers by 2 goals to 1 and were presented with their trophies and cup by Geoff Bedford the chairman of the North East Hampshire Youth League. The team has reached the semi-final on three occaisions but have previously just missed out on a place in the final. To have reached the final and beaten the best in North East Hampshire is a great achievement to this fine group of young men who are a credit not just to themselves and the football club but the community as a whole. Well done to you all.

The effort, all voluntary, at every age level within L.F.C. is extraordinary. The victory of the u-15's is testimony of that. Well done, the lads

Well done to Gary Elcombe and the team and to all others involved in their success, it is evident they have the skills, determination and the support of a dedicated team of people around them. I would like to thank all those who sent messages of support also to Mr Graham and AMK for the use of a mini bus so the lads could all travel together. Also to my assistant Andy Roberts for all his support and hard work. Lets now all get behind Kev and the boys for Wednesday evenings game.
