Liphook Crankers
- Rob (3rd Jun 2013 - 16:33:16)

Does anyone know if Liphook Crankers still going?

Website is no longer there and the Yahoo group seems somewhat out of date.

I've recently moved to the village and as a keen mountain biker it would be nice to have some like minded individuals to go for a ride with and discover the local trails.

Thanks.
I take it that Liphook's "club" is no longer operational then?

Hi Rob,

We're still very much going although slightly leaner in numbers than a few years ago.. With the lidba this weekend unlikely anyone will be riding. We tend to meet st 8:30 in the square for either a MTB or Road ride, come along we're a friendly bunch.

I started a facebook page whereby people can organise local ride outs. We also have a pedal out most Wednesday evenings around 7.30 and ad hoc weekend rides.

We tend to meet in Whitehill but often we're near the Liphook area so we can be met en route by Liphook based riders.

Its not a 'club', more an affiliation of people who enjoy off road cycling in the area. If there enough Liphook based riders then why not use the page to organise ride-outs?

Thanks. I have joined the East Hants group on facebook.
Must try and get up early one Sunday and comedown to the square, I\'m only just down on Longmoor Road. How do I know if its going to be road or MTB? Don\'t\' really do road to be honest, although I do have some skinny tyres I could shove on I suppose.
8:30 is VERY early!
