Free seed potatoes
- Freddie Dawkins (31st Mar 2004 - 17:55:12)

Attention all Gardeners:

I've got far too many seed potatoes - would anyone like some?

They are all organic and from Dobies (one of the best seed suppliers in the UK).

They are all chitted and ready for planting over the next few weeks. If you've never tried potatoes before and don't have much space, you can always grow them in a deep container or even a heavy duty plastic sack (the kind which compost and such like comes in).

I have:

Earlies - Premiere and Winston (ready late June/July)
Main earlies - Nicola (ready July/August)
Mains - Valor (ready August)

It seems a real shame to waste them but I just don't have enough space for them all. Happy to drop them off to you if you don't have transport.

Dear Freddie,
Have just seen your note and wondered if you have any left. I have not prepared the ground yet, so if they do not need to be sown for a week or three I would be very willing (and grateful) to take some off your hands. Look forward to hearing from you. Regards Ann Taylor

Ann -

Yes, still have some left and they are in perfect condition.

Call me on 07769 665 963 and you can either arrange to collect - I'm in Headley Road - or I'll drop them off to you.

rgds

Freddie
