Horror crash on B2131
- Tim Jordan (21st Apr 2008 - 11:54:20)

Very sad to hear about the following accident;

No wish to speculate, but I've been tempted to overtake on that road a couple of times when stuck behind a slow driver.

Perhaps it needs double lines all the way down.

Very sad indeed.

I was driving to Haslemere that night and the driving conditions were terrible (dark, foggy, heavy rain).

Perhaps double lines would be a good idea, on that road all it takes is one mistake and you're off.

Yes, there were apparently police cars and ambulances flying up the Haslemere Road on Saturday, and this would explain it.

If I remember correctly this road was resurfaced only a year or so ago.

Very tragic.

Only last year the lad next to us had a serious accident at almost the same spot - fortunately he and passenger were able to 'walk away', something no one could believe. He ploughed head on into a tree. In that instance he wasn't overtaking - but did admit to driving too fast for the road condition. (he only had is licence about a week) Its a very deceptive and dangerous road. Double white line would be advantagous.

Overtake on that road phew your brave

better to arrive a few minutes late than not arrive at all.!!!!!!!

Double white lines would be a better idea.

Why do you see the same people each day speeding to catch the train EVERYDAY why dont they set the alarm clock 5 mins earlier ???

Life is to short to end sooner than needs be !!!
