Dog Mess

Why are dog owners allowing their dogs to foul the rec, at least they could pick it up and deposit it at home.

Absolutely disgusting, up the side of the banks and on the walking and sports areas. Dogs are still not on leads, I told one dog walker at the weekend and got an unkind gesture which is typical of the ignorant nature of some of the dog owners. I use my back garden for my dog to do its daily business and clean up on a daily basis, why can't other dog owners if they want dogs use their own garden facilities to deposit rather than abuse village facilities? If they then want then to 'walk in it' because of their idleness to clear up, that's down to their ignorant nature. As Liphook further expands in population and there is more pressure on our remaining green land for residential/amenities, the green areas left such as the recreation ground will only worsen with the dog fouling issue which is a pity for a nice village. Come on Liphook, when are you going to sort out this persisting problem of dog owner abuse?

Sadly it is the majority of responsible dog owners getting tarred by the same brush as the minority of those "can't be bothered" dog owners. It's the same as people dropping litter. Liphook is such a lovely village to live in especially with the wonderful flowers on display. It is hard to understand why people have to be so indifferent to others.
