BT Infinity in our area? - paul (14th May 2013 - 10:06:57) Hi, Any ideas when Liphook will have BT Infinity. I understand, to receive the new BT Sport service from August 1st via a Youview box, Infinity is required.

The Council has now exchanged contracts with BT and the project is up and running. There is a slight delay due to the need to review the single supplier situation with the EU under their “State Aid” regulations, as I reported last time. As a result, roll out will commence later this year but we still hope to complete by the end of 2015. “Complete” means at least 24 megabits per second to 90% of the premises in the county and at least 2 mbps to the remaining remote 10%.

Re: BT Infinity in our area? - Rob (14th May 2013 - 10:54:08) Let's hope Liphook is in the 90% rather than the other 10, 2mps is rubbish. You will get quicker speeds on 3G mobile signal! I looked on BT's infinity rollout site and they don't even have a date for us, some of the surrounding towns are rolled out already, so hopefully sooner rather than later , but don't hold your breath!

I find it hard to believe that Hindhead has fibre optic broadband coming soon, and they have a lower population and have fewer residential homes. Try out this link.
