Computer Problem - Angela (6th May 2013 - 10:45:09) Please can anyone recommend someone ( who wont cost a fortune ) who can look at my computer which has gone dead and the monitor light keeps flashing Thanks

Re: Computer Problem - Richard (6th May 2013 - 11:25:45) Angela, Something to try. Hold in the power button for 5-10 seconds to make sure the PC is really off. Then restart it. |Check the power is on at the back of it (if there is a switch on the back of the PC) and at the wall. Does the socket work it is plugged into. If you have a spare power lead, try that. After that you will likely need someone to look at it. Candidates are the power supply or the main computer board itself. If the latter, and the PC is more than a few years old, it may be more economical to buy a new |PC. If you need an Engineer, I can be contacted at Richard@dragonsong.eu. I charge £40/hour.
