If you contact doglost.co.uk they can give you loads of advice about how to reunite lost dogs including scenting advice etc. They also have an enormous countrywide network of volunteers who immediately help poster and search. They also have special posters that can be printed off immediately. Good luck

Thanks so much for that advice Ginny. I'll look into that immediately. Despite searching all day, so far there's been no sign. Am hoping tomorrow will bring good news. Thanks again!

I can't think of anything worse than losing your dog.Hopefully the poor thing will be found sooner than later. Please post any update. As a dog lover I can't stop thinking about this. Good luck with the search

Thank you Sue. It's such a terrible thing to have happened and I'm sad to say that Fredi's body was found earlier this evening, not far from where he went missing.
Thank you to you and Ginny for your replies.

I am so sad to hear of Fredi's fate. I suppose the only consolation is that he was found and you weren't left wondering what or where he was. It's never easy losing a pet.
