Old shops in Liphook

I'm trying to find any old books about the old shops in Liphook in the l960 such as Coytes Lidbetters and Mathews the grocers could you help me thank you.

...try the Liphook library. They have a good local interest section. Also try the second hand book shops in Petersfield.

There is a small collection of very interesting illustrated books on the local history of Liphook available for sale from Adrian Bird's office in London Road. I believe that one of them concentrates on the retail businesses of the town.

The book that Paul refers to is "Liphook Shops Remembered" by Ian Baker. ISBN: 0 9511829 4 3
There are others in the same series. All excellent reading for anyone interested in local history.
