Tabby cat run over 23.4.13 Portsmouth Road
- Wendy A (24th Apr 2013 - 13:58:09)

Yesterday at approximately 6.20pm a tabby cat was knocked down on Portsmouth Road, by the Bohunt Manor entrance. My friend didn't see who ran the cat over but she stopped to see if it was still alive. Sadly it wasn't so she moved it onto the grassy bank at the Bohunt entrance. The cat had a collar on but no tag, it was purple and diamanté with a bell.

Hi Wendy,
So sad to hear of this cat & so kind of you to help. I have retrieved the tabby this evening & will take it to the Woodland Vet Surgery on Headley Road tomorrow morning just in case the cat has been chipped. The vets will then be able to notify the owners. Kind regards
Sue

Hi Sue

Thanks for picking the cat up - did he/she have a microchip?

Hello Wendy
Not sure, as it happens when I arrived at the vets the owner of the cat was waiting in front of me. So thank goodness they have been re-united. I reassured her it was quick, very sad the cat was less than a year old.
Good community spirit. Nice to speak with you although unpleasant circumstances.
Enjoy the sunshine!
Sue

Hi Sue

Poor cat and poor owner :-(

Well done you for being able to re-unite them - at least the poor owner won't be forever wondering what happened.
