Hello! Well you might have spotted the Fun Day signs which are now up and about the village, I just thought I would tell you what we have planned for Sunday 7th July!
We have a delicious BBQ, a Beer Tent, we have loads of live music from local bands including Thin Ice and Bohunt's Big Little Band. We have shire horse displays, we have a fun fair, inflatable paint ball game, buggy carts, Hollycombe Steam Engines, Face Painters, Freddie the Fire Engine, the Guides selling tea and cakes, lots of fabulous stalls and so much more!!
Please come along and help us raise funds to stage this year's Carnival. The event runs from 3pm - 7pm on the Village Green (behind Millennium Hall).
We still have limited space if you would like to have a stall and take part in the day.
Call me on 07788 924791.

Hi Everyone,
I feel honoured to be asked to bring along my Team to serve you delicious Nepalese Food once again.
We will be at our usual place, not far from the"Watering Hole" so do come and visit us.
What better way to cool down on a hot day (weather forecast 27degrees!!) than with a nice spicy Nepalese curry from the Gurkha Durbar in Grayshott?
Hmmmm....
British Empire style...where is the "Lassi"(Yoghurt drink) and "Nimbu Pani"(Lime and Soda)?
More importantly, where is the "Pankha-Wallah"-the guy who waves the huge fan with his hands to keep you feeling cool.....
those were the days.

Thank you Karen for a really lovely afternoon. The event has a great community feel - it\'s a shame it only takes place every 2 years!

Thanks to everyone who came to the Fun Day yesterday. The committee were so pleased to see so many people out on the green, despite the fierce competition we had in the form of Andy Murray!
We hope you enjoyed the afternoon, the community spirit was fantastic and proved once again that Liphook really is a great place to live.
Huge thanks to The Deer's Hut who provided us with a superb BBQ and real ale. Thanks to friends who came to help and of course to our wonderful bands who gave up their time free of charge.
See you all in two years time (we alternate with Milland) but don't forget, it is only about three months until Carnival!

Thank you Karen for yet another wonderful Funday in Liphook!
We thoroughly enjoyed being "back" and serving our "hot stuff"
despite it being such a hot day although the hot news is not that
we are in Grayshott but that Andy Murray got the Gold!
Hope to see you all at the Gurkha DURBAR.

Thanks to all who helped to organise and put on the afternoons fun and games. It was a good afternoon, if rather warm! The bands sounded great, the food was good (we had the Gurkha curry option) and the kids had a good time.
It was just a shame the inflatable things were quite so expensive, it may account for why they seemed to be mostly empty.

Thank you for a lovely fun day yesterday. Just a quick request but could it be earlier in the day next time as a lot of parents with young children were put off by the time and also the eating places would have been used more if it was over lunchtime perhaps?

Can I just thank all the Liphook residents for the wonderful interest they shown to the model funfair rides & attractions presented by regular exhibitors promoting the Hollycombe Fairground Weekend. Anthony Hooker deserves a major thank you for allowing us to take part. I normally attend specialist fairground exhibitions nationally, ranging from South Coast to Scotland. This of course includes Hollycombe as I just live a few miles away in Bordon. This was my first ever local free event showing my model attractions & considering the amount of distractions yesterday (hot weather, Tennis, Formula 1 etc.), this was well worth the time & effort. Lets hope many of you will on 20th or 21st come and support us at arguably now Liphook's 2nd biggest event of the year! Regards Martin Cooper.
