Photo-me booth
- Eneida Nelson (29th Mar 2004 - 08:39:33)

Yesterday I had the most bizarre experience in Sainsburys (no - I didn't bump into Mr. Insgate) needing a new driving licence, I decided to use their handy Photo-me booth, in the brief 5 minutes it was actually working!

I've never used one of these things before - so I put in my £3 and waited, trying to acheive a pleasant expression. The flash was so explosive that everytime it went off I couldn't help screwing up my face. I now have 4 pictures of the most villainous looking woman that ever walked the streets of Liphook and I'll have to carry one of these for the next 20 odd years!

Do all these machines produce similar results??

Rgds

E -

I think you're setting yourself up as a hostage to fortune on this thread. But I think you'll be okay - passports are only 10 years after all.

More seriously, if you can get there during opening hours (they shut on Sats at 1:00) try PRC down the London Road. They do instant polaroids. They don't cost much more and you can talk to a human being.

Eneida,
If they are as bad as you say give them to Bill he can put them out in the garden to keep the cats away!
There's something fishy about our Mr.Insgate, no wonder cats are attracted to his garden.

Just to endorse the recommendation of PRC. I was very pleased with the instant photos they did for me. Talk about a silk purse etc. They really had their work cut out trying to get a personal likeness for my passport that was not going to get immigration officials rolling about on the floor with laughter.

My problem with the Photo-Me booth is the little kids who poke their heads in under the curtain and ask "wotcha doin'" Give PRC a try and with the others. . . why not hang them in the garden to keep the cats away, its got to be more environmentally friendly that Freddies suggestion!

No way, Paul.

Everything I suggested was entirely organic!!!

Someone really should speak to the ASA about those machines. Why is it that despite the lovely coloured pictures on the side of them, and even the relatively flattering camera feed when getting your position right, that they always turn out to be appalling?
